Alex will be choreographing WEST SIDE STORY at the Paper Mill Playhouse this coming summer. The production is directed by Mark Hobee.
He also directed and choreographed THE WORLD GOES ROUND in collaboration with The Oberlin College Conservatory of Music that was performed at Hidden Valley in Carmel Valley California. The production will also perform this spring at The Cleveland Playhouse Hanna Theater.

Alex directed an equity 29 hour reading of a new musical, THE PARTS I KEEP INSIDE. The musical is written by Andrea j. Love and Jeffrey Schmelkin. The industry reading was presented at The Theater Center.
He also choreographed a new musical, ONE NIGHT, for the Broadway Bound Theater
Festival presented at AMT Theater, this past summer. The show was directed by Don Stephenson.
As well as directed Lincoln Center's CONCERT OF STUDENT SONGS, at The Mitzi Newhouse, which was presented June 2nd.
Past News
Directed and choreographed the new Off Broadway musical FACINGS at Urban Stages. The production ran from April 24th to May 17th.
Directed reading of a new musical THE YOUNG LORDS, that presented at The Producers Club on May 16th.
Debuted the ballet ELLA'S SUITE, March 2025 as part of a commissioned work from The University of Oregon Dance Department.
Choreographed the workshop of a new Michael John LaChiusa musical, BEAUTIFUL JOLIE GABOR. The workshop was produced by The Transport Group, with direction by Jack Cummings III.
Directed the 2024 Concert of Student Songs, for Lincoln Center at The Tow Theater.
Directed a new musical, COMMON GROUND for the Drama Desk Award winning youth theater company TADA Theater.

Choreographed the David Catan composed Opera FLORENCIA EN EL AMAZONAS for The Metropolitan Opera. The production is directed by Mary Zimmerman and premiered November 16th.
Co-choreographed THE GARDENS OF ANUNCIA at The Mitzi Newhouse at Lincoln Center. The production is written by Michael John LaChiusa and Directed as well as co-choreographed by Graciela Daniele. The show officially opened November 20th.
Choreographed THE JERUSALEM SYNDROME, at The York Theater which opened November 30th. The show was directed by Don Stephenson.
Choreographed the opening number of THE BCEFA EASTER BONNET 2023 at The Minskoff Theatre, home of Broadways LION KIING. This marked the 34th year since the founding of BCEFA and the first in person performance of the annual charity event since the Covid shutdown of 2020.
Choreographed A Chorus Line for The Cincinnati Playhouse. Creating all new choreography for this reimagined production directed by the Producing Artistic Director of Cincinnati Playhouse, Blake Robison.
Directed a reading of the new musical INFERNAL at theater 555. The AEA 29 hour reading was produced by Perry Street Productions.
Won the 2022 Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Choreography for his new original choreography of WEST SIDE STORY for The Marriott Theatre of Chicago.
