Alex is currently nominated for both a 2024 Lucille Lortel and Drama Desk award for his co-choreographic collaboration with Graciela Daniele in GARDENS OF ANUNCIA at Lincoln Center Theatre.
Alex is also thrilled to be directing the 2024 Concert of Student Songs, for Lincoln Center at The Tow Theater.
Alex recently directed and choreographed a new musical, COMMON GROUND for the Drama Desk Award winning youth theater company TADA Theater.

He also choreographed the David Catan composed Opera FLORENCIA EN EL AMAZONAS for The Metropolitan Opera. The production is directed by Mary Zimmerman and premiered November 16th.
He also co-choreographed THE GARDENS OF ANUNCIA at The Mitzi Newhouse at Lincoln Center. The production is written by Michael John LaChiusa and Directed as well as co-choreographed by Graciela Daniele. The show officially opened November 20th.
Alex also choreographed THE JERUSALEM SYNDROME, at The York Theater which opened November 30th. The show is directed by Don Stephenson.
In April of 2023, Alex choreographed the opening number of THE BCEFA EASTER BONNET at The Minskoff Theatre, home of Broadways LION KIING. This marked the 34th year since the founding of BCEFA and the first in person performance of the annual charity event since the Covid shutdown of 2020.
Alex also choreographed A Chorus Line for The Cincinnati Playhouse. Creating all new choreography for this reimagined production directed by the Producing Artistic Director of Cincinnati Playhouse, Blake Robison. In
January, Alex directed a reading of the new musical INFERNAL at theater 555. The AEA 29 hour reading was produced by Perry Street Productions.
He won the 2022 Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Choreography for his new original choreography of WEST SIDE STORY for The Marriott Theatre of Chicago.
Last fall he directed and choreographed ON YOUR FEET for the Paper Mill Playhouse.

Alex was the Musical Stager for the new Broadway musical PARADISE SQUARE. The show performed at The Ethel Barrymore Theater. It began previews on March 15th with an official opening April 3rd and closed July 17th. The production was produced by Garth Drabinsky's Tiberius Productions and directed by Moises Kaufman.
